British Columbia Air Quality and Health Benefits Report. July 2009.
In 2009, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport obtained an independent assessment of the health benefits of implementing the Air Action Plan and the Climate Action Plan. The assessment was conducted using emissions information supplied by the ministries, the CMAQ air quality model and the AQBAT health model. It concluded that significant health benefits would be realized by implementing the two plans.
